Billy “Bear” Calicchio has worked with many of the top Modified racers during his 22-year career, including Billy Symons, Mike Stefanik, Jimmy Spencer, Mike Ewanitsko, Mike and Ted Christopher, Tony Hirschman and Tim Arre. During that time he has been a part of numerous championships and over 300 victories at racetracks up and down the East Coast. Since forming his own race team in the early 1990’s he has amassed over 30 poles and 40 feature wins. In 2003 he added talented Eric Beers as his driver and joined the Mopar Performance roster, focusing on the NASCAR Featherlite Modified Series.

In 2004 Bear will be racing a select schedule of Modified events. Drivers will be selected on a per event basis. The schedule will start out with Ted Christopher behind the wheel at New Smyrna Speedway in February. With his experience in working with different drivers, Bear is confident he can create a winning atmosphere in the coming season.
